Social media gaming now has s big influence on all of us. If you're on Instagram habit posting those good shot photos or we called "instagrammable", we have seen how it changed and questioned our own style choices. As people traveled, how they dressed, and even on a usual day of their lives, we get into their world because of social media. But here's the question I have read on a magazine: "Is the pressure to post double tap worthy photos getting in the way of us living a truly authentic life?" You may be unconsciously setting a high standard for yourself just to be in and pretend that's what life is like for you, every day.

Myself is not an exception of course, I'm a self confessed social media addict :P just like everyone. I started and end my day through it. From waking up to sleeping at night, I used to check all of my social media accounts to keep updated. Seeing posts of my fave artists and bloggers especially on Instagram has been my inspiration. I just love how they put effort just to have a good shot (#BloggerProblems hahah. Feels!) But despite of changed and how social media entered in my life, I do not lead it to the point where I masked my myself through the photos I've shared. I always keep in my mind that this is who I am and you can see it in my personal life - behind social media.

Logging my outfits, flat lays, foods, what went on my day or everything posted on the web is what I really like, I just want to share the things that I do and it's also one reason why I've been into blogging. I also learned through social media that authenticity goes a long way. You should not loose yourself and try to become something you're not that makes it look like trying hard.

Whatever you stand may be with what's going on around social media; it is important to stay true to ourselves. It has no rules and in fact we can post whatever we want but we should know our limitations. Do the things we like and post it on the web because at the end of the day, what really matters will come within ourselves.

For the last leg of Summer Soiree Blogger Series of Forever 21, Vina Guerrero and David Guison ended these with a special talk and meet and greet with their readers last April 22, 2016 at Forever 21 SM Megamall. It was composed of 3 series; first was Tricia Gosingtian and the other was Lissa Kahayon and Ida Anduyan. As you can see on my previous blog post, I have attended on Tricia but didn’t have a chance to join Lissa and Ida because of some personal commitment. These events will probably be one my favorites this summer and looking forward again next year, hopefully. I am happy to have the opportunity to meet new friends, learn new things and of course to bond with the bloggers that really inspires me a lot. Going back to Vina and David’s event, it was a camp themed afternoon, the setting was cozy and chill. And of course the food! (yummmm)

As they started the talked, we knew that this was Vina’s first talk ever because she always deleted emails whenever she had invited to deliver a talk on events. She has stage freight, I think same as me. From their old shoot photos until now, we saw how fashion evolved on them; the secrets on how they do their signature poses as well as the filters they used were also revealed. Thank you so much guys, it was a big help!

But of course my favorite is that they taught how to start blogging. I started blogging since 2013 and during that time I am not that active. Right now, I am more inspired to write because as time goes by, I can really say that this is my passion. The dos and don’ts were also given to us so that we never go out of track. Through this event I realized three things about my blogging journey:

    1. I do it because I love it. Blogging is really fun because I can share my experiences, ootd’s, lifestyle, events and my personal life to others.  Those PR posts that you can see are not paid; I mean only one from all of the PR’s here are paid. I don’t write just because I want to earn from it. I am contented with what I am right and if this is really my career then God will lead the way.

    2. I want to interact with other bloggers and learn from them. Just like these F21 events, Bloggers United, etc. I want to grow and learn from those who have been in this industry for so long. Life never stops teaching, right?

    3. To get out of my comfort zone. As Vina shared about her stage freight, I also see myself in her. I was and always will be a shy type girl, self-confessed hahaha. But as I get comfortable with someone I got to show my weird and crazy sides (hi to my friends lol, they knew me very well) So now, I want to explore and discover things on my own. Maybe soooon I can jk.

Tricia Gosingtian, a photographer & blogger whom I looked up to since then. I started to know her maybe 3 years ago and I will always be a fan. So when she announced that she will be having a style talk and meet & greet in collaboration with Forever 21, I get so excited because I really want to see her for the first time. And luckily I'm the one who got the RSVP for the event even my sister joined and she got the same also.  But that day my sister had an activity in school so she can't come along with me. I really had a feeling of not attending this event because my mom don't want me to travel alone. We're from Laguna and this event were in SM Aura, Taguig. But still just to see Tricia I forced my mom to allow me, and finally she said yes :) I don't want to missed this opportunity.

Enough of the story behind my alone travel (but I really had fun because I'm on my own that day lol!) The event started at 2pm and I came at around 3pm because of the traffic, as always. I enjoyed how she gave style advice to achieve sweet, sophisticated style. One reason why I liked her because of her style, I see myself on her because I dressed simple yet I always make it sure to add some chic look.

Look at the mannequin, twinning with Tricia!

I love everything about these new collections! It just says who is Tricia Gosingtian :) All of these expresses different mood for every occasions. Hashtag for this event: #TriciaXForever21 #F21xMusic

Of course Forever 21 had a sweet surprise for us! Yeeeeey for a tea party :) My sweet tooth is super happy when I saw this tables! I can really live eating these sweets, a lot hahaha! Plus a cotton candy (weeee) and discount coupons! Thank you Forever 21!

A special performance from Reese Lansangan, was also witnessed on this event. I knew her because she had performed in our school (Letran Calamba) back then. I love her voice, it's so chill and her music was really good!

And of course a selfie with Tricia! <3 I felt shy to talk to her, I don't know why. But that's what I felt whenever I met bloggers hihi. Checking off my bucketlist now because I already meet all of my fave bloggers :) Cheers!

A big thank you Tricia and also to Forever 21 for having me here. We're so lucky to witnessed your new collection. This really means a lot to me. And until now I always remember seeing Tricia last Saturday. Thank you for being nice and simple! It was one of the best days indeed! Hoping to see you again. I'm always here to support you (#1 fan) Love you always! xo

Ever wondered how employees getting paid; by hours of work, attendance, overtime? This question is too simple but for me as I enter the real world 2 years from now, I should know what is the proper way of the management on how they return the effort made by their employees. Good thing that Salarium is here to help us figure it out!

Salarium, a cloud based payroll platform from the Philippines, announced a major update and overhaul to their application particularly in their attendance and approval modules. The new attendance module provide employers new features to better manage their workforce. Some of the highlights include weekly timesheet views, inclusion of hour types, shift visibility, multiple projects/tags, time disputes via messaging, and a significantly improved user interface.

The approvals module has been overhauled resulting in a mobile friendly version which gives employers the ability to pre-approve requests or override a subordinate’s requests when the user is higher up in the approval workflow.

“Salarium aims to constantly delight our users, we have always been heavily focused on R&D and this is highlighted by our nearly weekly feature release. The new attendance however is a major overhaul and replaces a significant chunk of the core application” Daniel Bahna, VP of Product.

The attendance page will now feature a full breakdown of the daily employee attendance. Time records of clock ins and outs are now grouped by day. A new Hours Worked page where you can add Regular, OT, Night or OT during Night hours. These new features are aimed to better serve our clients by addressing their needs for better management and visibility of their workforce.

“This update enables our clients to get better insight and control on their workforce,” said Judah Hirsch, CEO of Salarium. “Continuously providing solutions that delivers significant value to the organization is our core principle. The new attendance module coupled with our other products will certainly improve not only HR management but also in automating processes.”
