Cetaphil Philippines runs an event called #7DaysOfCetaphil celebrating healthy and beautiful #MyCetaphilSkin with different topics and influencers/guests on each day. It started last Monday, August 20 which will last this Sunday, August 26, 2018 in SM Makati.

I attended the 2nd day event (Tuesday, August 21) with the topic: Skincare 101. Guests are dermatologist, Dra. Mara Huber, bloggers Vern Enciso and Shari Macaraig.

Our skin is the largest organ in our body. And with that, it really needs the proper care just what we do on our body. Skincare is definitely one of a trend right now, I mean a lot of people are doing this routine. But does all of us know if we’re using the right products?

So thankful that Dra. Mara shared her knowledge and gave us these steps on how we can improve our skincare routine:

1. Know your skin type (3 Basic Skin Types: Normal, Dry, Oily) - definitely on top because there are different products and ingredients for every skin type. It is important to know that every skin condition needs the right treatment because it may become worse if we use the products not suitable for our skin.

2. Cleanse - facial cleansers are there to remove all the dirt that comes into our face. It’s really good that Cetaphil Cleanser has a pH level of 5.5, which means that it’s gentler than water and can be use by those with sensitive skin and even babies!

3. Moisturize - these step nourishes and hydrates our skin. It’s also not true that we must skip this part; having a humid weather here in our country, our skin really needs to retain its moisture. As for people with oily skin, a little amount goes a long way but don’t skip! For those with dry skin, 1-2 times a day or even more depending on the skin’s dryness.

4. Protect - with all the harmful ray of sun outside, we all need to use a sunscreen everyday!

Tip from Dra. Mara: 1 shot glass is the right measurement we must use in our body when applying sunscreen!

Sunscreen Checklist:

SPF 15-50 is the range of good sunscreens with SPF (50 being the best!!)

It must contain: UVA and UVB protection, broad spectrum and water resistant

Careline Cosmetics has been my first makeup brand I trusted the most during my late high school days. I can still remember my first lipstick; it's the Careline Magic Lispstick :) Who can relate? I guess this brand is really made for teens who are still on finding what makeup products will look best on their skin. It's also nice how they revamp their logo but still on the same quality and price we love.

Last Wednesday, they finally introduced the newest line of their lipsticks: The Careline Kiss Sticks

It's a matte lipstick that has 12 shades in different moods of color. From simple, edgy, bold to intense - they have it!

And because I attended the Careline Summer Send Off, I had a chance to see the whole collection, met their ambassador Andrea Brillantes, indulge on good food, and had fun with my blogger friends.

We also got to take home a bunch of goodies from Careline that includes 4 Kiss Sticks in the shades: Lucid, Mantra, Native and Pinch.

One unique feauture: It has a built in sharpener on the bottom so it can be pointed and be use as a lip liner.

SWATCHES AND REVIEW

1. LUCID - More of a mauve shade. Definitely my fave because I'm really into nudes.

2. MANTRA - This is in light violet shade. I don't think I can use this for everyday but maybe I can try it to experiment!

3. NATIVE - It's a deep red shade. Perfect for girls night out!

4. PINCH - This also belong in nude shades but compare to Lucid, it's more lighter.

* It smells really good at the moment you opened it - like a sweet candy!

* The packaging is unique! Doesn't even look like it's a lipstick.

* It's easy to apply but needs double application to see the coverage.

* Not that 100% matte 'cause it has a glossy texture and can be remove immediately.

* It retails for only PHP 175 each! Very affordable!

When it comes to anything beauty related, every girls can relate! We're all beauty product fanatic. It's part of our everyday routine! As for me, I'm still learning on applying my own makeup. I always go for natural look because it's the easiest and fastest I can do lol. And also I don't have yet a huge collection of makeup products. I love watching YouTube tutorials, it really helps! I have a few products that I use everyday and keep neatly tucked inside my makeup bag for easy access.

My newest makeup pouch is these from Kipling, the one I've got from the event last August (blog post here) I like how my girly stuffs fit in. So convenient!

So today I thought I’d share my personal makeup products that I can't leave the house with!

Happy Skin UV Brightening Gel Cream - Of course, we need a shield for the harmful ray of sun! I really love this 'cause it also acts as my base/primer.

L'Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion - I also have the L'Oreal Infallible foundation but I use it during events. This liquid foundation is perfect for natural look and finishes with a glow :) Makes me look fresh all day!

Maybelline Fashion Brow - One word, NATURAL. This is my go to eyebrow product for everyday.

Rucy's Vanity Gleamy Lavish Mascara - Current fave mascara!!! Totally obsessed how it's water proof and smudge proof! I love that it make my eyes look fresh all day!

Happy Skin Glam Squad Contour and Color - Just a beginner for contour, still learning tho hahaha. For the blush, I don't use it often but as to this time I think I'll need to learn the "drunk blush" craze :P

Maybelline Powder Matte in Touch of Nude - My preferred shade of lippies are nude. I love the way it makes me look natural and young :)
Happy Skin Swept Of My Feet Moisturizing Lippie - I always have 2 or more lippies. It just depends in my mood when will I use the other. It's just a girl thing; more lipsticks, note happiness LOL!
